you asked for it
I wanted to wait until i had taken a machete to all of the grounds and planted flowers and and and. But all of you know me too well and know that isn't going to happen anytime soon. One day during "open swim" i started hacking away at the bushes by the pool and cut through some big electrical wire. I didn't die but was forced to remember the old saying, "a husband doesn't see three hours of chop chop only cut wire." Therefore being a beast that can only survive on a steady diet of validation - i have left that project.
So here are just some quick pics I ran outside (and inside) and took. I didn't clean, i didn't touch up. They are just raw and naked. Exposed. Earthy. Weedy. Perhaps these photos are better explained through a lyrical dance. I'll call Mia Michaels. She's award-winning you know. She has won awards. She's a winner.

GORGEOUS!!!!!
love it. so...when can i come?
been there, done that, seen it...Ha ha you western-united states dwellers. When can we drive up again?
Can I move in? I LOVE how green and BEAUTIFUL it is. It looks like the air is fresh there and not hot and hellish. Sigh. Jealousy isn't something I normally struggle with...until now. It's really hot here.
Anyways,We recently purchased a very large tent that I am sure will fit in your yard. Are fires permitted? We may not even ever have to come into the house. Think about it and let me know ASAP. Thanks a million.
That is one gorgous home. I'm in house hunt you-know-what right now so that makes me happy that someone who knows my sister and is awesome and leaves awesome comments on my blog has found her dream home. Happy, and a little jealous.
I've had fun reading your blog.
P.S. Amy is in so much trouble that she didn't tell me about Clinton Kelly. Again, a little jealous.
Love,
Gillian
Beautiful Shelby! I love it! Can you find us one just like it and we can be neighbors and hang out just like old times? Weedy? not finished around the island? I'm in love.
i wish my weedy overgrown yard looked as good as your weedy overgrown yard! when you have thoughts like those again, just be glad your front and back yard aren't gravel and that you don't have to tear your hands and nails up trying to pull the weeds out of rock hard dirt in 115 degree weather. i'm joining the jealous bunch.
Pools are stupid.
WOUW - WAUW - WAW - WOW (how ever that is spelled...!). Your house and pool and... is wonderful!
